Terry Derise (Senior Warden)
Brent Lindsey (Junior Warden)
Leah Brasher (Clerk of the Vestry) is a hemodialysis nurse at DCI with fifteen years previous experience as a Hospice nurse. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Stephen F. Austin State University. Born and raised an Episcopalian, Leah has been a member of Christ Church for 28 years. She has served as a choir member, youth group leader, and currently as a lay reader. She and her husband Kyle (former Junior Warden on the vestry) have two adult children, Kendall and Lauryn. Both were acolytes growing up at Christ Church.
Lisa Kennedy (School Board Representative) is the daughter of Margaret and Ted, sister to Paul and Linda, born in 1969 and raised a Southern Baptist in Deep East Texas. Baptized in 1980 at the end of a great week of VBS, like lots of Baptist kids. Graduated SFA in 1991 and moved to Detroit for a dietetic internship at The Henry Ford Hospital. Became a Registered Dietitian in 1992 and wife of Sean (a “cradle Episcopalian”) in 1993. Worked at several large medical centers in Chicago until 1997. Moved to Colorado and worked at the Eastern Colorado Healthcare System/VA Medical Center in Denver and attended Calvary Episcopal Church in Golden. Was confirmed in May 1999 and became mom to Marin in August 1999 and Maisi in December 2001, who were both baptized at Calvary Episcopal Church. Returned to Texas in 2005 and have been a member of Christ Church ever since. Marin and Maisi were both confirmed here and are alumna of Christ Episcopal School. I currently work in two hemodialysis clinics as a Renal Dietitian. I was elected to serve on vestry in 2021. I’m learning to pray more and worry less about my college aged daughter and newly married daughter (I have a great son-in-law, by the way!) who is a new small business owner. I am having a fantastic time with Sean in our now empty nest watching sunsets on the lake in Etoile, and I enjoy travel, snow skiing, long evening walks, cooking, and time with family and friends. Oh, and chocolate. I really like chocolate.
